Foran et fantastisk publikum på Spillestedet Gnisten i Ry (DK) blev dette album optaget LIVE og udkommer nu som CD og digitalt
BRAGR giver den skandinaviske folkemusiktradition et nutidigt udtryk.
Bandet spiller både traditionelle melodier og egne kompositioner. Musikken fremstår brusende og frisk, arrangementerne er spændende og overraskende. Musikerne fortæller indlevende om musikken og historierne giver tonerne endnu mere liv.
Perry Stenbäcks nyckelharpa (nøgleharpe), skaber den følelsesmættede lyd, der er selve drivkraften i den tradition BRAGR nyfortolker. Christine Dueholms lette og swingende trommespil, iblandet eksotiske perkussion-lyde, giver på en gang musikken struktur og farve. Jesper Byllings lyriske båndløse bas leverer et samlende drive og melodiske, pumpende baslinier. Kristian Bisgaard supplerer lydbilledet med sit smagfulde og kreative klaverspil. De flerstemmige vokaler bruges primært instrumentalt og er en del af BRAGR´s karakteristiske lydbillede.
BRAGR minder os om, hvem vi var og på mange måder stadig er. Det er lyden af Skandinavien – vores tone i livet. Den kan både give os et opløftende smil på læben og lidt fugt i øjenkrogen.

Enchanting and touching musical entertainment for all audiences!
BRAGR plays contemporary Scandinavian folk music with both traditional tunes and original compositions. Their arrangements gives the music a fresh aura and elements of surprise. During concerts, the musicians presents the melodies with humorous anecdotes and interesting stories about the old fiddlers, from whom they inherited the material, to make the music come even more alive.
The old nordic instrument, the Nyckelharpa, is the center of the tradition BRAGR reinterprets and it’s surrounded with Christine Dueholms groovy drumming with exotic percussionsounds mixed in, Jesper Frost Byllings melodic bass lines and Kristian Bisgaards elegant and creative piano playing. The band also uses their voices in harmony to add another layer to their characteristic sound.
The music of BRAGR reminds us of who we were, and still are. It’s the sound of Scandinavia that brings both a tear to your eye and a smile on your face, whilst tapping your feet.
