Med denne udgivelse fejrer de dermed deres 10års jubilæum som LIVE band Musikken lægger sig i landskabet mellem blues, folk, country & americana
Sangene er alle egne kompositioner og tekster på engelsk
Denne udgivelser er samtidig også deres første udgivelse i eget navn.
De bidrog i 2013 med 4 sange på udgivelsen Dusty Goat Entertainment ”Routes”, (2013) GO0813 (LP+digital)
I deres musik behandler de eksistentielle problematikker som bl.a.
The walls came down – Der var fred og ingen fare og så ramler det.
Termites & paint – Hvad stiller man op, hvis man bor i et træhus og har termitter??
Dog bark – Oplev søvnløshed og overbærenhed i en hund gør hele natten
Who let the chickens out – Lyt til dramaet i, hvor verdens problemer blegner, da han opdager, at hønsene er sluppet ud.
Cold cold wind – Den globale opvarmning holder for i Kan nogen gøre noget ved den kolde vind, der blæser?
Jack didn´t know – En overraskelse udvikler sig til en krise – at vågne op og opdage, at kæresten er smuttet i nattens løb, er slemt nok men, at hun har taget bilen med, det er ubærligt
Leaves they wither and fade – Bladene visner og dør, mens gærdesmutten får sin hyldest i The Wren
Alle medlemmer i LONG DOG Orchestra har en lang baggrund i Roskildes musikliv.
Simon Andersen er langt det yngste medlem af bandet. Han er i begyndelsen af fyrrerne, mens de andre alle er fyldt halvfjerds. Flere af musikerne var meget aktive i Roskildes musikliv for 50 år siden, hvor man kunne finde dem i orkestre som Dr. Dopo Jam, trommeslager Nils “Big Foot Barolo” Christensen, Fujara, Hvalsøspillemændene guitarist Jan”Smokie” Andersen , Lirum Larum, bassist Steen “The Rock” Dahl , Atlantis både Steen & Jan, mundharmonikaspiller og sanger Lennart Old Dog” Larsen kom senere til Roskilde og har kun deltaget i byens musikliv i mere end 40 år.
Simon Andersen, guitarist og sanger samarbejder med Lennart Larsen om at skrive sangene I 2013 mødtes musikerne i forbindelse med optagelsen af opsamlingspladen “Routes”, som Simon havde taget initiativ til, – og nu 10 år efter udgiver de deres første reele egenproduktion

LONG DOG Orchestra debuted as a LIVE band in 2013 in Roskilde’s active music environment,
With this release, they celebrate their 10th anniversary as a LIVE band. The music lies in the landscape between blues, folk, country & Americana
The songs are all own compositions and lyrics in English
.This release is also their first release in own name.

In their music, they deal with existential problems such as:
The walls came down – There was peace and no danger and then it falls.
Termites & paint – What do you do if you live in a wooden house and have termites??
Dog Bark – Experience insomnia and indulgence in a dog doing all night
Who let the chickens out – Listen to the drama in which the world’s problems pale as he discovers that the chickens have escaped.
Cold cold wind – Global warming continues in Can someone do something about the cold wind, is it windy?
Jack didn’t know – A surprise develops into a crisis – waking up and discovering that your girlfriend has slipped away during the night is bad enough, but that she has taken the car with her is unbearable
Leaves they wither and fade – The leaves wither and die as the wren gets his tribute in The Wren
All members of the LONG DOG Orchestra have a long background in Roskilde’s (DK) musical life.
Simon Andersen is by far the youngest member of the band. He is in his early forties, while the others are all in their seventies. Several of the musicians were very active in Roskilde’s musical life 50 years ago, where you could find them in well-known Danish bands such as Dr. Dopo Jam, drummer Nils “Big Foot Barolo” Christensen, Fujara, Hvalsøspillemändene guitarist Jan “Smokie” Andersen, Lirum Larum, bassist Steen “The Rock” Dahl, Atlantis both Steen & Jan, harmonica player and singer Lennart Old Dog” Larsen joined later Roskilde and has only participated in the city’s musical life for more than 40 years.

In 2013, the musicians met in connection with the recording of the compilation album “Routes” GO0813 (LP+digital), which Simon had initiated, – and now 10 years later they are releasing their first real own production
