Trio Ged er en ung gruppe fra Vestsjælland, der spiller instrumental folkemusik med vægt på humor og fantasi.
Efter et hav af koncerter rundt omkring i landet, udgiver de nu deres debut-EP med i alt 6 tracks.
Albummet som ud over at være en hyldest til deres hjemegn byder Trio Geds første udgivelse, “West County”, også på en collage af folkemusikkens mange udtryk.
Sjov og skævhed er en del af gruppens identitet – men “West County” byder også på indlevende og medrivende instrumental musik, som især er inspireret af den nordiske folkemusiktradition, men henter også inspiration i alt fra både rock og pop til klassisk musik, country og højskolesang. Hver komposition fortæller sin egen historie og inviterer lytteren med på en unik rejse ind i trioens hverdag og deres fælles oplevelser.

En varm sommerdag. Insekterne summer og blomsterne er sprunget ud. En kølig brise fejer hen over det grønne græs. En groovy, tilbagelænet, instrumental melodi inspireret af den nordiske folkemusiktradition
2. Gedescottish (Mathilde Salling Schou)
Et fyldt dansegulv, men den samme dansepartner hele aftenen. Denne groovy, fængende melodi tager lytteren med på en rejse hvor man både får tid til at danse og tid til intimitet og eftertanke.
3. Gamle Klæder (Mathilde Salling)
En polka, der helt af sig selv, danser frem og tilbage mellem tidsaldre. Fra en gammel, slidt træsko til en nedtrådt kondisko, der begge er blevet danset helt sønder, bærer de på forskellig vis utallige minder om gode stunder. Instrumental, nordisk sound med et twist.
4. West County Lounge Band ((Marie Alma Sloth/Mathilde Salling Schou/Anton Skårup Møller)
Langt ude på landet kører West County Lounge Band og spiller til dans i forsamlingshuse. En støvet landevej og et glimt i øjet. Det lækre, forfinede swing og høje tempo giver med det samme associationer til både countrymusik og Western Swing, og forestillingen om en go’ gammelsdags swingom
5. 2 får og 3 geder (Anton Skårup Møller)
Lowkey, chill, folk i spændingsfeltet mellem jazz og højskolesang. Et køligt, moderne, instrumentalt bud på en moderne nyfortolkning af en gammel traditionel melodi.

En behagelig, varm eftermiddag i solen i godt selskab. Din ven nynner, du nynner med. Stille og rolig folk med en catchy melodi og stor vægt på den akustiske instrumentering.
Trio Ged (Trio goat) is a young group from West Zealand (DK) that plays instrumental folk music with an emphasis on humor and imagination.
After lots of concerts around the country, they now release their debut EP with a total of 6 tracks.
The album, which in addition to being a tribute to their home region, Trio Ged’s first release, “West County”, also offers a collage of the many expressions of folk music.
Fun and eccentricity are part of the group’s identity – but “West County” also offers lively and engrossing instrumental music, which is mostly inspired by the Nordic folk music tradition, but also draws inspiration from everything from rock and pop to classical music and country

A hot summer day. The insects are buzzing and the flowers have popped out. A cool breeze sweeps across the green grass. A groovy, laid-back, instrumental tune inspired by the Nordic folk music tradition
2. Gedescottish (Goatscottish) (Mathilde Salling Schou)
A full dance floor, but the same dance partner all evening. This groovy, catchy tune takes the listener on a journey where you get both time to dance and time for intimacy and reflection.
3. Gamle klæder (Old Clothes) (Mathilde Salling)
A polka that, all by itself, dances back and forth between ages. From an old, worn wooden shoe to a worn-out trainer, both of which have been danced to pieces, they carry countless memories of good times in different ways. Instrumental, Nordic sound with a twist.
4. West County Lounge Band ((Marie Alma Sloth/Mathilde Salling Schou/Anton Skårup Møller)
Far out in the country, the West County Lounge Band drives and plays for dances in community centers. A dusty country road and a twinkle in the eye. The delicious, refined swing and high tempo immediately give associations to both country music and Western Swing, and the notion of a good old-fashioned swing

Lowkey, chill, people in the tension between jazz and high school singing. A cool, modern, instrumental take on a modern reinterpretation of an old traditional melody.

A pleasant, warm afternoon in the sun in good company. Your friend hums, you hum along. Quiet and calm people with a catchy melody and great emphasis on the acoustic instrumentation.
