The German Record Critics’ Award (PdSK) has just published the long list of the second quarter with all 240 nominations for the Quarterly Critic’s Choice (Bestenliste) 2/2026:

The up to 32 winners of the second Quarterly Critic’s Choice 2026 will be published on May 15.

For the “Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik” (German Record Critics’ Award; abbreviated: PdSK), music critics and journalists from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland come together regularly in order to honour outstanding music and spoken word recordings. Comprising of a maximum of 160 members, the PdSK jury places great importance on reaching independent judgments, unaffected by the interests of the recording or audiobook industry.
