Mynsterland – Live from Svendborg Theater GO0319

The 12-person big folk orchestra Mynsterland release their third EP – “Live from Svendborg Theater” which, as the name suggests, consists of live recordings from the culmination of their previous tour: a big gala concert in Svendborg Theater (DK).

Over the past three years, Mynsterland has established itself as one of the most ambitious and sought-after Danish folk bands. They have built up a solid fan base in most of the country, which meets up to their concerts. The band is known for their immersive gaming pleasure and overwhelming energy on stage, and one can both hear and notice on their new release.

“In my view, Mynsterland has always been a live band. It’s in front of an screaming and applauding audience, we play our very best,- so it feels so naturally release an EP where you get the whole LIVE experience”. Says Mathæus Bech, bass player in Mynsterland.

The record contains – slightly atypical for a live release – four new original songs that have not been published before, as well as two “greatest hits”.

The EP will be released digitally on Friday, March 22, 2019.

Svendborg Theater is a beautiful old theater in the city Svenborg on the island of Fyn. Inside red velour everywhere; huge chandeliers in the ceiling; three balconies; thick padded folding seats and worn black stage floor. The theater with its 350 seats was filled to the top balconies on May 5, 2018, when the concert took place.

“It was a magic evening with a wonderful audience! Many of the band’s members are from Southern part of Fyn, so you could call it a kind of “home ground concert”. ”says singer in the band Justine Boesen.

The band did set up the concert themselves, and again this year they hope to repeat their success on June 1, 2019 – this time with a light production and invited secret guests.
